Well, as most of you guys know. I applied to Hyper Island Digital Media with the hopes to be one of the members in Crew 14. But I got the answer this monday and the letter said that I wasn't accepted into Hyper Island. For you guys who doesn't know what Hyper Island is, check out their site and their promotion sites.
At that moment I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't understand it, it took a couple of days before I finally realized it. Maybe I wasn't supposed to be a student at Hyper Island. But at least now, I'm a free agent.
So what about the future? I want to have an internship at Your-Majesty, and will hopefully be able to do this some time in the future. For now I'm trying to figure out what to do for a year. I'm thinking of freelancing full time or at least freelance on the side while having a day job. Just to raise some money. Or apply for a job in Stockholm.
What I do know is that I need a new portfolio, my last portfolio was made back in 2006. So it's really old, I have a lot of new works that needs to be displayed in a good way. This is a good thing. It's a chance to try out my new acquired Actionscript 3 skills in a real project.
I need inspiration, a lot of inspiration for my new portfolio. Anyone got any ideas?

For inspiration, I'm not sure what you're looking for exactly. I mean, I'm sure you have all those inspirational-filled sites, and ironically enough, I can't remember my selection off the top of my head (and I recently had to reformat, so no bookies D=)

@Nick, hehe it's a school of digital media mate. And I didn't even realize that they used images for text blocks. That's kinda bad actually.
I am one of the Hyper guys and I feel so bad you were rejected. I just cannot believe the fact you were not able to pass. What the hell happened? Anyway when is about choice, I will always keep your site is in my favorites. Whatever happens I am sure, you gonna make it this or another way.

Damn. I feel really bad that you got rejected. Whats up now? I know lot's of people in previous crews that have serious skillz who got rejected at first but got in thru the reservlist or applied the next year.
Did they say anything about if you are high on the reserve? Lot's of people seem to back out once they got in.. could be good for you.
@Magnus, No they didn't say anything about me being in the reservist at all. But I'll probably apply again next year then. =)
